Description
The Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) is dedicated to the improvement and advancement of graduate education. Its members are graduate deans engaged in research, scholarship, and the preparation of candidates for advanced degrees. As the largest national association organized specifically to represent the interests of graduate deans, CGS provides many forums for the exchange of ideas, policies, and innovations. Through national meetings, summer workshops, and data and information technology, it offers many ways for deans and graduate school personnel to share information on major issues in graduate education. Approximately 400 U.S. and 30 international institutions are represented in the CGS membership.
