Description
The purposes of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education
(CASE) are to develop and foster sound relationships between member
educational institutions and their constituencies; to provide
training programs, products and services in the areas of alumni
relations, communications, and philanthropy; to promote diversity
within these professions; and to provide a
strong force for the advancement and support of education worldwide.
Approximately 2,700 colleges, universities, and independent elementary
and secondary schools are members of CASE. Representing these
institutions are some 14,000 individuals in the fields of alumni
relations, communications, and fundraising. CASE offers professional
development opportunities for member representatives through 100
annual conferences, workshops, forums and activities; publications
and instructional videos; and annual awards programs. CASE publishes
CURRENTS, an award-winning magazine for advancement professionals,
and regularly provides information to members on important public
issues. It also encourages scholarly research and greater concern
for professional values and standards in institutional advancement.
