Description
The Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU) is a volunteer association of regionally accredited colleges and universities in the United States. Currently, there are 214 institutional members. The association also accepts as non-voting members accredited colleges and universities that are not located in the United States and, as non-voting affiliate members, organizations and individuals interested in advancing the cause of Catholic higher education.

The purpose of the association is to promote an understanding of Catholic higher education that emphasizes the collective and individual importance of its institutions, the variety among them, the quality of education they provide, and the contribution they make to the church, society, and the total mission of Catholic education.
