Representing the more than 6,500 board members who govern community, technical, and junior colleges in the United States and Canada, and with the participation of governing board members from many other countries, the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) works to strengthen the capacity of community, technical, and junior colleges to realize their missions on behalf of their communities through the development of effective lay governing board leadership and advocacy at the local, state, and national levels. Major activities of ACCT are trustee education and assisting boards in developing and affecting public policy. ACCT also offers to board members services such as CEO search and retreat facilitation.
