Liberal Arts Fellowships in Law These fellowships are offered to enable teachers in the social sciences or humanities to study fundamental techniques, concepts, and aims of law, so that in their teaching and research they will be better able to use legal materials and legal insights that are relevant to their own disciplines. Fellowship holders will presumably take at least two first-year courses in law, in addition to more advanced courses. Each year four or five fellowships are awarded; the fellowships are for one year, nonrenewable. Tuition, health fees, and office space are provided. Deadline date for applications is January 15. Notification is within one month of deadline date. Requirements: Applicants should be college teachers in the arts and sciences. Candidate must submit a biographical resume including academic record and list of publications, a statement explaining what the applicant hopes to achieve through his/her year of study, and two letters of recommendation mailed directly to the chair by the referees.
