Canadian Studies Faculty Enrichment Grants Grants provide selected faculty an opportunity to undertake study relating to Canada to develop new courses, or redesign existing ones, on some aspect of Canadian studies that they will subsequently offer as part of their regular teaching load. Areas of study may include the social sciences, journalism, business, environment, humanities, law, and fine arts with a unique relevance to Canada. Applications on official forms must be accompanied by an institutional commitment to offer the course at least three times in the six years following the award and two letters of recommendation. Restrictions: Provisions are not made for released time stipends nor for overhead costs to the institution. This award is not available two consecutive years to the same recipient. Requirements: This program is intended for full-time faculty members at accredited four-year US colleges and universities. The applicants must have held a full-time teaching position for at least two years at their present institution. The candidates should be able to demonstrate that they are already teaching, or will be authorized to teach, courses with 33 percent or more Canadian content. Team teaching applications are welcome. Applicants are required to conduct research in Canada for a minimum of three weeks during the award period. Amount of Grant: $US4500 maximum Date(s) Application Is Due: October 31.
