National Security Education Program Grants to Institutions of Higher Education

The National Security Education Program (NSEP) encourages proposals that address programs in specific foreign languages, countries, and areas generally underrepresented in US programs; and/or address professional, disciplinary, and/or interdisciplinary opportunities to incorporate international education into the curriculum. Proposals are sought that improve language acquisition and cultural knowledge; improve study and work opportunities abroad, stimulate faculty interest and involvement in international aspects of curriculum, improve information dissemination and linkages across institutions, and/or broaden the base of interdisciplinary and institutional relationships. Evaluation of proposals will be based on significance of the problem; responsiveness to identified needs; cost effectiveness; prospects for wider impact; applicant's capacity; and evaluation plans. Prospective applicants should obtain the complete program announcement, which contains final deadline dates and proposal requirements. The grant solicitation may be downloaded from the NSEP homepage, listed.
